在美國生活, 最有感受、喜愛的一首舊歌... 77 年 Eagles 的作品... 現在懷舊了, 長途駕車, 在收音機總會聽到一兩次, 那哀淒、寂寞但硬梆的節奏, 似挑起自己人生旅程的回憶、貼切, 那般無奈、落魄...

聽著總會浮現般共鳴, 走過的路、旅程的伴隨...

自己寫作時, 也不時受這韻律的影響, 腦中不時會有陣陣的音韻

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

頻撲孤寂的旅程, 有如 CD/TG 遙遠的路途, 寂寞、無奈...

... 寫 [ CA-1 上的遐思 ], 就聽了好幾邊的 Hotel California, 原本想依照那般意境... 結果衹有其事( 加州、酒店、酒 spilit、 妖人...), 沒有那意境...

There she stood in the doorway;

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinking to myself,

"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"

每次的際遇, "This could be Heaven or this could be Hell", Mission Bell, 老舊的宗教终是敲著慢條斯理的警鐘, 帶著懷古的情感, 寫 [受害者的故事] , 有著那般意境...

天堂的冷酷與地獄的熱烈, 到底也衹是人為的一線之隔... 在天堂, 有魔鬼般的性愛嘛? ... 在地獄, 仍要我终日背念聖經嘛?...

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them say...

黑暗中持燈的引導,多是如此地迷惑...

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends

確實, 心思中還是盤旋著那頻律...

一生久久逗留在 California,  感覺仍如久留在異域客鄉、昏長旅途中暫棲的 Hotel, 不知歸途, 無從離別...

. . . .

歌曲的開首 Intro 與結尾 Outro,  單純的主音吉他奏出的 chord 如 Tango 舞步般盤旋纏繞著... 熟悉又激盪的回音, 久久徘徊在加州瀟颼的寒夜中...
